Terms of Use — Joey the Koala

Last updated: June 2026

These are the terms for using Joey the Koala. By downloading or using the app, the grown-up agrees to these terms on behalf of the child using it. Questions? Email [email protected].

1. Who this app is for

Joey the Koala is made for young children (around ages 2–4), used with a parent or guardian. If you're a parent or guardian, you accept these terms for your child and agree to supervise their use of the app.

2. What Joey is (and isn't)

Joey is a gentle educational and entertainment app. Its content — including anything about food, “brave bites,” feelings, or routines — is for general learning and fun only. It is not medical, nutritional, or professional advice. Always use your own judgment and a qualified professional's guidance for your child's diet, allergies, and health.

3. Using the app

You may use Joey for personal, non-commercial family use. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or try to extract its content, characters, or code.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

If Joey offers paid content or a subscription, purchases are made and managed through your Apple App Store account. Billing, auto-renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms — you can manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies.

5. Your child's privacy

Joey works fully offline and does not collect personal information from your child. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Content and ownership

Joey the Koala — including the character, artwork, voice, videos, and all app content — belongs to us and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal licence to use the app; nothing more.

7. “As is” — no warranties

We work hard to keep Joey safe, calm, and reliable, but the app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Joey is not a substitute for adult supervision.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.

9. The App Store (Apple)

This app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store Terms of Service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make important changes, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date. Continuing to use Joey means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
